Septic Solutions, Inc.
is owned and operated by a family that has been in the septic system
business for approximately 18 years. All of the products we offer
on our online store are products we have been using daily in our
septic system installation business. We have a great deal of hands-on
experience with these products. We know our products and the septic
system business very well. Whether you are interested in a septic
air pump or septic aerator, few people understand them better than
us.
Sizing of your
septic air pump or septic aerator is extremely important and should
not be taken lightly. Although air pumps and air pump manufacturers
change over the years, the size of your replacement air pump should
remain the same. This will insure that your septic system
will function as it was originally designed and tested to perform.
Please use our information offered on this site, gathered through
our many years of experience, to help you choose the correct septic
air pump for your individual application.
The Importance
of a Cooling Fan
Our
Gast Rotary Vane air pumps come with an attached cooling fan, which
is extremely important in order to keep the air pump running much
cooler. This should add many years of life to the pump.
There are some other Gast Rotary Vane models for sale without the
cooling fan which could easily reduce the price by up to $50. Without
a cooling fan, the air pump will run much hotter which will in turn
decrease the overall life of the pump.
If you have
a rotary vane septic air pump, which is usually gray in color and
approximately 14 inches long and 7 inches tall, you have a pump
that is very durable. This type of air pump or septic aerator lasts
longer with fewer repairs than most other air pumps available. The
Gast RV05 septic aerator has been the work horse on many aerobic
systems for lots of years. Approximately every 6 or 7 years the
vanes will need to be replaced. These rotary vanes are relatively
easy to install and are available on our rotary
vane repair parts page.
The disadvantage
of a rotary vane pump is simply they are extremely noisy and use
more than twice the electricity that a linear air pump would use.
You can check out our comparisons between the linear air pumps and
rotary vane air pumps here.
The Gast
RV05 we offer is the real deal. This septic air pump was manufactured
specifically for the septic system industry. There are many generic
air pumps being offered today that may look similar but are not
the original or real deal such as the one we offer. For instance,
ours has a cooling fan, and the exact same serial numbers used on
many aerobic products.
