How do I know if my pump is a Thomas and what size it is?
Most Thomas Pumps are white with a dark colored flat lid. Some of
their units could be a dark gray with a dark colored flat lid.
How do I know what size Thomas pump I have? There
are several ways. The first is to check all stickers on the outside
of the pump. There should be a model number. If you have a Model
5078, 5080, 5100, or 5120 you would use the same diaphragm kit.
If you have a 5030, 5040, 5060, or 5070, you would use the same
diaphragm kit. Find the corresponding numbers to the right
and order your diaphragm kit.
If you do not have any stickers on the outside of
the pump you can remove the 4 screws under the housing and lift
the housing off the pump. On the side of the transformer you will
find the correct size of the pump you have.
How do I know if my pump is a Gast SPP and what size it is?
How can I tell what size SPP pump I have? Check the stickers on
the outside of your pump. In many cases you will see SPP80 or SPP100
followed by some other numbers. Go back
to the previous page and find your corresponding number on the
right to get to the parts.
If you cannot find a number on the outside of the pump simply remove
the 4 screws holding the housing on and lift the housing off. On
the side of the transformer you will find the number stamped which
tells you the size of your pump. For instance if your pump is stamped
80L or 100H go to the guide on the right and click on your correct
number.
How do I know if my pump is a Hiblow HP or Gast
HP
and what size it is?
Hiblow or Gast HP Linear air pumps use the same diaphragms. These
pumps are usually green with either a light green flat lid, or the
newer Hiblow models might have a dark green flat lid. These pumps
could also come in several other colors, such as brown or white, etc.
Most of these pumps will be marked with a sticker that says HP 80
or HP 100 showing what size you have. Go to the guide on the right
and click on your correct number and order those diaphragm kits. Another
quick easy way to tell if you have an HP 60 or HP 80, which uses the
same diaphragms, would be to look at the end of the pump. If you have
3 fins you have an HP 60 or 80. If you have 4 fins you have an HP
100 or HP 120, which uses the same diaphragm kit. The HiBlow or Gast
HP Linear pump is the most popular pump used and is also distinguishable
by its shape.
How
do I tell the difference between an SPP pump and an HP pump?
Gast
SPP Linear Pumps & HiBlow HP Pumps
Because the air
pumps do vary in color, you may have trouble determining if you
have an SPP model or an HP model. An easy way to differentiate
between the two is to look at the shape of the pump lid. If
the lid is rounded as the pump pictured on the left, it is an SPP
model. If the lid is flat like the pump pictured on the right,
it is an HP model.
*Most SPP model pumps are gold in color, and most HP model pumps
are turquoise.
