This pump replaces the older HEM-L80 discontinued model.
The
Medo HEM-LA80 comes complete with a built
in on/off switch and an alarm that when activated
sounds a horn while also activating a red light on top. This alarm
is normally utilized on aerobic systems that need to inform the
user when the air pump pressure drops below 1 pound. This generally
happens when the pistons begin to wear out and cannot produce approximately
3 pounds of air pressure or 80 liters of air per minute. This is
a very common air pump utilized on many aerobic systems. It is very
simple to install when the alarm is built in. Simply hook up the
air line and plug it in and you're done.

Medo Air Pump's linear-motor-driven free piston system has an internal
piston inside the cylinder which is driven by an electro-magnet
and spring system controlled by the alternating input current cycle.
The piston thus forms a single combined structure of two usually
different devices; motor and pump. The system is quiet and vibration
free, and offers the advantages of easy maintenance and a long operating
