How hard is the Filtrol 160 to install and do I have room for it?
The installation of a Filtrol 160 is very simple. A mounting
bracket that attaches to the wall is supplied. This mounting bracket
must be placed in a location close enough so that the washing machine
hose discharge will reach it. Hold the mounting bracket in the correct
location and attach with 2 screws
to a wall stud. The canister containing the filter then simply
locks onto the bracket. Attach the washing machine hose to the top
of the Filtrol 160 using the hose and fittings provided, then attach
hose and fitting provided to the bottom of the Filtrol 160 and place
the other end of this hose back into your drain where the original
washing machine hose was located. This all should take about 10 minutes.

The overall height of the
Filtrol 160 is 12 ¼ inches. If mounted underneath a cabinet
there should be approximately 12 inches of clearance between the top
of the Filtrol 160 and the bottom of the cabinets. This will allow
for the easy removal of the filter bag for cleaning and/or replacement.
Tip:
Place a small amount of Vaseline on the inside of the hoses and
outside of the fittings to allow them to slide together easy.

How often will I need to clean the filter bag inside the Filtrol
160?
This will depend
on how many loads of laundry you do. Normal usage would generally
require that the filter be cleaned every 3 to 4 weeks. Order

How hard is it to clean the filter bag inside the Filtrol 160?
This is very
easy and only takes a few minutes. You would simply un-snap the
quick adapters on top of the Filtrol 160 and remove the filter.
Remove the trappings and washing machine debris from the filter
and replace. The Filtrol 160 must be water tight making it necessary
to have a large O-ring located in the top lid. A simple way to make
sure the lid removes easily is to add a little Vaseline to the O-ring
before installing the lid.
Tip:
If you are in a hurry when you remove the dirty filter, simply install
