Please check out some of the following reasons, which MUST be considered when designing a diffuser assembly.
A well-designed diffuser assembly will:

1. Create the extensive rolling action necessary to achieve a proper and quick breakdown of waste, usually within a matter of minutes after it enters into the septic tank.
2. Be located in the most effective place in an existing septic tank to cause the correct action and consistent introduction of oxygen to proliferate aerobic bacteria. This includes introducing air at the proper level above the normal sludge build-up, which is just above the septic tank bottom.
3. Include a weighted diffuser assembly that will stand firm when large amounts of air are introduced through it. A simple pvc line hanging in the tank would cause a swirling motion and would more than likely break the line in a short period of time. By just the introduction of air into a septic tank you will not achieve the necessary circulating motion required to effectively break down solid waste.
4. Our deflector plate, which must be designed to a specific size, causes the rolling action of all wastewater inside the septic tank. This reflective action will cause a rapid breakdown of all solids and circulate wastewater in a direct planned pattern that will allow the aerobic bacteria to easily attach themselves to the remaining small particles. This rapid aerobic bacterium attachment causes the waste particles to be devoured quickly and completely reducing normal household waste to a clear and odorless effluent in a relatively short period of time.
5. The size and number of the orifices located on the diffuser assembly, where air is introduced and forced into the tank is of very significant importance. If there are too few orifices, excessive head pressure on the air pump will occur causing pre-mature failure of your air pump. If the pump produces more cubic feet of air than the orifices will release your air pump will burn up. Additionally sizing of the orifices will cause the air (oxygen) to be introduced into the existing septic tank, which when sized correctly will produce a combination of fine and coarse air diffusion. The finer the air bubbles the longer the oxygen will stay in the wastewater, instead of quickly rising to the top and disappearing. A combination of both fine and coarse air diffusion creates a more thorough mixture having the best results.
